Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the price of GTA 6 will feel ‘very reasonable’ to consumers. This comes amid speculation of a potential $100 price tag for the upcoming game.
The highly anticipated GTA 6 is set to be released on November 19, 2026. Previous trailers for the game have garnered over 430 million views on YouTube. The next earnings call for Take-Two is scheduled for May 22, 2026, with rumors suggesting that a new trailer may drop around that time.
Tom Henderson, a gaming insider, mentioned, “I’m still sticking to my guns from what we said a few weeks ago, which is that I don’t think they’re going to release the trailer, the next trailer, until actual summer.” This indicates ongoing delays in promotional content from Rockstar Games.
Concerns about video game pricing have been prominent, especially with competitors like MindsEye recently dropping its price from $60 to $35. MindsEye also released a free update called Blacklisted, further intensifying competition in the market.
Zelnick emphasized that consumers need to feel the product’s value aligns with its cost. He said, “Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got.” This statement reflects Take-Two’s strategy in addressing consumer expectations.
The gaming community remains eager for more information as the release date approaches. However, uncertainties linger regarding the exact timing of future trailers and updates from Rockstar Games.
