On social media, Parton has been open about her health issues and treatments. She mentioned that her medications make her feel light-headed and woozy. “I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such, on five-inch heels,” she said.
Parton is also working on a Broadway musical and a hotel and museum in Nashville. Her husband, Carl Dean, passed away in March 2025 after 60 years of marriage. Reflecting on his passing, she said, “The holidays, especially our wedding anniversary, and the day of his death … that was hard for me.”
