What Happened
Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, California. The series includes three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Notably, the new devices feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a redesigned rear camera island.
Why It Matters
While the Galaxy S26 and S26+ maintain similar designs to their predecessors, they introduce performance optimizations and new AI features. The S26 has a larger battery capacity of 4,300mAh, compared to the previous model’s 4,000mAh. However, the starting prices have increased, with the S26 starting at $900 and the S26+ at $1,100, both models now beginning with 256GB of storage.
What’s Next
The Galaxy S26 series is available for preorder now, with official sales commencing on March 11. The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces a unique Privacy Display feature aimed at enhancing user privacy. Samsung also announced new wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro, which will be available on the same date.
