“I wanted to go back for redemption; to play differently, enjoy myself and make genuine connections,” said Liema Pantsi after winning Big Brother Mzansi season six. Her victory, described as a tale of second chances, comes after a previous exit from season four in 2024, where she accepted R250,000 to leave the game.
Liema’s journey in the house lasted ten weeks, during which she faced numerous challenges, including a rivalry with runner-up Thandeka Tshabalala. Despite the competitive atmosphere, Liema found solace in her personal growth, stating, “It was overwhelming. Sometimes I needed a moment, so I’d sit quietly in the dining room or lock myself in the diary room or the toilet.”
Throughout her time in the house, Liema learned valuable lessons, noting, “My top three lessons are alliances are important, never shrink to make others comfortable, and have fun — it’s just a game.” These insights reflect her strategic approach to the competition and her desire to foster genuine relationships.
Liema plans to utilize her R2 million prize money for travel, home renovation, and supporting her foundation. She expressed pride in her roots, saying, “I’m so proud to come from the Eastern Cape. I’m happy they supported me all the way.” This connection to her community underscores her commitment to making a positive impact.
In addition to her philanthropic aspirations, Liema aims to pursue a career as a UN ambassador, further emphasizing her desire to help others. She also plans to work with brands, release new music, and explore acting opportunities.
As she embarks on this new chapter, Liema’s focus will be on her foundation and her ambitions to assist those in need. The next steps in her journey are eagerly anticipated by her supporters and fans alike.
