“Just like always, even when we’ve had many games in a week, we try to get at least two sessions to prepare,” said Osward Mutapa, head coach of Power Dynamos FC, as his team gears up to resume their match against FC Leopards.
The match, which was halted at nil-nil due to heavy rains, is set to continue the following morning at 10:00 hours. Power Dynamos currently leads the MTN Super League with 51 points and remains unbeaten in their last nine matches, including a four-game winning streak.
Power Dynamos has recorded four wins against FC Leopards in their last nine meetings, with four matches ending in draws. In stark contrast, FC Leopards, who are facing relegation threats, have only managed two wins in their last 15 games and sit at 20 points from 25 matches.
Mutapa acknowledged the challenges posed by injuries, stating, “Notable absentees are Innocent Kashita and Samuel Bamidele, who are still out injured, so we will deal with the human resource we have.” Despite these setbacks, he expressed confidence in his team’s preparation and desire to maintain consistency in performance.
“But like I said, we are prepared and we want to maintain consistency in terms of performance and results,” Mutapa added, highlighting the team’s focus on improving their game.
As the match resumes, all eyes will be on Power Dynamos to see if they can extend their unbeaten run and solidify their position at the top of the league. Meanwhile, FC Leopards will be looking to turn their fortunes around in a crucial matchup.
The outcome of this match could have significant implications for both teams, with Power Dynamos aiming to continue their dominance and FC Leopards fighting to escape the relegation zone.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the resumption of play, hoping for a thrilling contest between the two sides.
