Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion, is reportedly considering quitting Formula 1 at the end of the 2026 season. Verstappen’s career has been marked by significant achievements, including becoming the youngest driver to win a race at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, when he was just 18 years and seven months old. His dominance in the sport was evident as he clinched four consecutive world championships from 2021 to 2024.
In a recent statement, Verstappen highlighted, “I see it like this: You hear it from a lot of sports people when you speak to them about how are you successful. It all starts with actually enjoying what you’re doing before you can actually commit to it 100%.” This sentiment underscores his current struggles with the sport.
