One of the recent campaigns Y&R did for the Joburg Zoo encouraged the public to adopt an animal. We therefore decided to support our own call to action, and adopt one ourselves.
We asked the staff to vote for an animal that they felt best represented or resonated with the agency in order for it to become our Y&R mascot. The animal with the most votes was the RED PANDA, which was named by the staff as BAMBOO.
The name is quite fitting as not only is Bamboo what Panda’s eat, but it is also symbolic of longevity, strength, flexibility and resilience – much of what Y&R stands for itself.
Congratulations to Rui Alves and Maisha Mamabolo for the name suggestion – they will share out the adoption hamper of goodies as their prize.
