Labstore South Africa, shopper marketing business unit of Y&R South Africa, recently welcomed Galderma’s Cetaphil®, a Swiss quality and dermatologically recommended skincare brand, to their blossoming client stable.
The four-way pitch required from agency teams to allocate a set budget for a 360º campaign to support the core range of Cetaphil® products for Q1 2016, with an emphasis on the Cetaphil® care regime. Key elements of the campaign were required to focus on shopper engagement, digital and print.
According to Chantelle-Marie Paynter, Therapeutic Skin Care Brand Manager of Galderma South Africa, Labstore South Africa executed an excellent pitch that demonstrated exceptional insight into both consumer and shopper behaviour. “The proposed support campaign has longevity and is category-unique. More importantly, Labstore South Africa is viewed as a strategic partner to the success of the Cetaphil® brand, and their fit into our business was given key consideration,” she explained.
Carolyn White, Managing Director of Y&R’s Labstore SA, added that Cetaphil® is a uniquely challenging category in the sense that it is traditionally viewed as a specialised range and not suited for everyday use. “Many consumers and healthcare professionals view the Cetaphil® range as a cult classic, and it deserves the spotlight as a beauty brand that just simply works,” she added.
