Jozi-based advertising professionals were treated to a little slice of Cannes this week at the inaugural Cannected event, hosted by Facebook Africa.
The global initiative, which was also hosted simultaneously in NYC, London, and San Paolo, aimed to democratise and celebrate creativity during the week of Cannes.
The esteemed panel of speakers included Donovan Goliath (comedian) as MC, and Grant Sithole (Creative Director), Nunu Ntshingila, (Regional Director of Facebook Africa), Aviv Weil, (Creative Strategist of Facebook Creative Shop), Juliet Honey (Creative Director, BBDO), and Rui Alves, (Executive Creative Director, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris).
Y&R and Labstore SA staff were there to enjoy the vibe and to participate in the discussions around the state of local creativity, the importance of creative award shows in 2017, and the ad vs content debate. Here’s to celebrating creativity with all of our colleagues in France — from a rooftop in Cannes!
